DUMPSTER FIRE: A VERSATILE ROCK FORCE FROM COLORADO SPRINGS

Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dumpster Fire isn't your average rock band. This versatile group is known for electrifying performances and captivating original music, leaving audiences energized with every show.

More than just covers: While Dumpster Fire brings the heat with high-energy renditions of classic rock anthems, modern chart-toppers, and even a touch of country (think Queen, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Chris Stapleton, and more), their passion lies in crafting original music. The themes in their original songs capture relatable emotions we all face — challenges with relationships, maintaining our grip on life’s curveball moments, and finding the strength within ourselves to conquer life’s obstacles.

"Life of Pain," their latest single, is a relatable rock anthem that speaks to breaking free from the cycles that hold us back. With a gritty, relentless groove, the track dives into the struggle of navigating a world that demands everything while offering nothing in return. It’s a raw cry for anyone who has ever felt stuck in the "mess" between the lines, ready to trade the weight of the past for the fire of the future. Prepare for heavy riffs and even heavier truth — this is the sound of Dumpster Fire at its most unchained!

"Letting Go," another popular single, is an emotionally charged track that dives deep into the internal conflict of releasing control, particularly when plans unravel and trust is shattered. It's a raw exploration of the fear of losing a part of yourself and the uncertainty of what lies ahead when you walk away.

Unforgettable Experiences: Dumpster Fire isn't just about the music; it's about creating a connection with the audience. They strive to deliver a dynamic and passionate experience at every show, ensuring a night to remember.

MEET THE BAND

Scott Peters, Lead Guitar
Inspired to play guitar after attending the 1984 Van Halen tour, Scott quickly began playing his “rendition of nothing,” according to his older brother. Out of nothing must come something…

Scott began playing professionally in 2004 and formed the band Mas Tequila with 3 other members. From Territory Days to Winter Park, Mas Tequila saw some success along the Front Range and beyond. After a few iterations of the band and a final individual appearance at a Battle of the Bands at The Cosmo in Las Vegas, Scott packed up his gear for about a decade.

At the suggestion of Scott’s brother-in-law, he dusted off the guitars and amps in recent years to begin jamming and playing out again. Scott left Disturbing the Peak two years ago to join a band of brothers at the Dumpster Fire. Happy with where he is now and the experiences bygone, Scott looks forward to recording originals and bringing great live experiences with his talented bandmates.

Chris Propps, Drums

Chris is from Roanoke VA. After learning to play drums as a teenager, Chris joined multiple bands, playing and living up and down the Southern East Coast. Although rooted in the south, Chris found himself becoming a longtime Colorado resident. "I'm super excited to bring the Thunder with my buds and very talented musicians of Dumpster fire.”

Carlos Buhain, Vocals + Guitar

After growing up on the small Pacific island of Guam, Carlos has been surrounded by music throughout his life. After transitioning between guitar and drums, he finally found his voice and fronted several bands in Hawaii.

While fronting the original band Sister Suicide, he opened for national acts such as Warrant, Ratt, Quiet Riot, and The Tubes. Sister Suicide was eventually approached by a management company to do a small tour of Japan.

Now the lead singer for Dumpster Fire, Carlos has found a new creative home and is once again having fun with music.

Brian Hendrickson, Bass + Guitar

Brian Hendrickson brings a rich and eclectic musical journey to Dumpster Fire, playing both guitar and bass. Growing up in Washington State during the explosive grunge era, Brian was immersed in the raw energy and groundbreaking sounds of emerging local bands. Long before Nirvana and Alice in Chains became household names, he was trading cassette tapes of underground hits with friends, soaking in the gritty essence of the scene.

As Brian's career took him across the country, his musical palate expanded, weaving a diverse tapestry of influences. From the soulful depths of traditional blues and blues-based rock to the anthemic power of classic rock from the '60s and '70s, and the relentless intensity of metal and punk, Brian's playing style evolved with each new sound he encountered.

MORE THAN A COVER BAND

Dumpster Fire isn’t your average cover band. While they certainly bring the energy with high-octane renditions of classic rock anthems, their true passion lies in crafting original music that resonates with audiences on a deeper emotional level. With themes ranging from the struggles of relationships to the resilience needed to navigate life’s curveballs, Dumpster Fire delivers songs that explore the universal human experience through a powerful blend of rock, blues, and country influences, infused with raw emotion and relatable lyrics that leave a lasting impression.
